This trial had a very challenging course making it alot of fun to run. The course was
on a cotton field with terraces and gravel roads running horizontally all over the
field. The outrun was further than any distance either of our dogs have run before
and they handled it really well. We were so proud of them. After the trial wrapped
up we decided to run a Buddy Brace where 2 handlers and their dogs run the
course together. We drew names from a hat and Josh and my name were the last
ones remaining. We thought we were for sure doomed because we were the only 2
Ranch handlers in the competition and we had to run the Open Ranch course, which
neither of our dogs have done before. It was chaos but a total blast and we
managed to complete the course with the highest score!
